Toy Story Land is set to officially open in Hollywood Studios on Saturday 30 June 2018 – just in time for your Orlando Summer Vacation! The new 11-acre Toy Story Land is set to transport guests into Andy’s backyard, where they will feel like they have shrunk to the size of a toy. It will feature two brand new rides, the family-friendly roller coaster, the Slinky Dog Dash, and the spinning Alien Swirling Saucers, which is an “interstellar romp”. There will also be Toy Story characters to meet, including Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl, plus delicious themed eats and treats at Woody’s Lunch Box. In addition, the popular, interactive 4D carnival game, Toy Story Mania, has been expanded with a third track to accommodate more space sharpshooters.
An Incredible Summer, Walt Disney Resort
Make your Orlando Summer Vacation really incredible at Walt Disney Resort’s Incredible Summer. At Magic Kingdom, guests can party with Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible and Frozone, while Guardians of the Galaxy Star-Lord and Gamora team up with an alien band at Epcot to play tunes from their soundtracks. The thrills just go on and on at SeaWorld Orlando with its new, record-breaking Infinity Falls whitewater rapid adventure raft ride through a lost jungle. Pass through tropical vegetation, fountains and waterfalls before dropping 40 feet – a world record for a river raft ride – into churning whitewater.
Fast & Furious – Supercharged, Universal Studios
Embark on a fast and furious ride based on the blockbuster movie franchise, as an after-race party turns into a high-speed race to escape a criminal cartel in the new Fast & Furious – Supercharged ride, which has just opened. The exciting chase through the street of Los Angeles features actors from the movies, including Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster.
The Great Lego Race, Legoland Florida
A slower pace than Fast & Furious, but no less fun, is the Great Lego Race at Legoland Florida – the first Virtual Reality roller coaster for kids. Riders with optional headsets can take part in an exciting virtual race again Lego characters. The action is mirrored by the coaster’s movements. Look out for a rocket-powered surfboard and an espresso-fueled scooter.
Ray Rush, Aquatica Orlando
Ray Rush is a new family raft slide, which allows riders to slide, splash and soar along the 60-foot tall ride. The rafts are launched through water jets, swirl around a huge spinning ball and through a tube to a halfpipe that looks like a manta ray. They soar on the manta wings before finally ending with a splash.
Justice League, Madame Tussauds Orlando
See the Justice League at Madame Tussauds Orlando from Friday 25 May – and join them! Justice League: A Call for Heroes allows guests to become a loyal sidekick to Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill’s Superman and Ben Affleck’s Batman.
Orlando Starflyer, International Drive
Climb aboard the world’s tallest swing ride, which opens on Friday 1 June. The Orland Starflyer, on the famous International Drive, is 450-feet tall. It can take up to 24 guests together and reaches speeds of 60 miles per hour.
